【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesthespeedandhighdecontaminationfactorsattainablewithliquid-liquidextractionoftheactinidesandeliminatesfiltrationtechniquesthataremoretimeconsuming.Thistestmethodprovidesaprecisedeterminationofamericiuminconcentrationsnormallyfoundinenvironmentalsamples.1.1Thismethodcoversthedeterminationofamericium-241insoilbymeansofchemicalseparationsandalphaspectrometry.Itisdesignedtoanalyzeuptotengramsofsoilorothersamplematricesthatcontainupto30mgofcombinedrareearths.Thismethodallowsthedeterminationofamericium-241concentrationsfromambientlevelstoapplicablestandards.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionstatements,seeSection10.
